Noctua

  • Open a file in Arca or on disk and save in the same format. No extra copy to re-download.
  • .nct is ours. Also: Word, LibreOffice, RTF, Markdown, plain text and HTML.
  • Write with 2 people in the same sentence: cursors, comments, roles.
  • Background, shapes, WordArt, Material bits and 280+ fonts. Corners and shadows stay in the file.

  • .aur is ours. .pptx opens and saves back to the same file.
  • 26 layouts (text and images stay when you switch) and 15 styles, from Coral to Terminal.
  • Morph, cube, carousel, entrance and emphasis animations. They work backwards too.
  • Tables with formulas, speaker notes, hidden slides, comments on a specific spot.

  • Share with a role (editor, commenter, viewer) or with a link.
  • Versions: download or restore. History keeps 1 every 10 minutes, and the original stays.
  • Double-click: documents in Noctua, presentations in Aurora. Always that same file.

Together

In the same sentence, not taking turns

Noctua and Aurora share with people or with a link. Avatars of who is there, cursors and comments. If 2 touch the same thing at the same time, the last edit wins, and Undo resets so you do not wipe someone else's work. (ง •̀_•́)ง

Files

Our formats. And everyone else's.

.nct and .aur belong to Yozora. The rest still opens: Word, PowerPoint, LibreOffice, Markdown. Local or in Arca, it is the real file, not an export to redo.

.docm .dotx .dotm and .ott open; to rewrite them use "Save as…". Old binary .doc does not: from Word or LibreOffice save as .docx or .odt. On Chrome/Edge, "Open file" writes to disk. In the desktop app it always does.

Tabs in the right color
Pink, coral, amber, violet. The title bar copies the page background, gradients included.
If the server is down
The tab switches to pages bundled in the app. Same look, no error page. Computer files always open locally.
Open with Yozora
Double-click, drag onto the window, or from the command line. One instance: a second file brings the open window to front.
